Introduction to fundraising

What fundraising is and why organizations need it. An overview of the main donor types (individual, corporate, institutional) and their motivations for supporting NGOs.

Crowdfunding & online campaigns

Tools and platforms for online fundraising (e.g. Patronite, Zrzutka, faniMani). Writing engaging descriptions, setting financial goals and planning social-media promotion.

Working with business (CSR / ESG)

How to approach companies and build mutually beneficial sponsorship offers. The difference between philanthropy, CSR and ESG, and how an NGO can fit into corporate sustainability strategies.

Grant writing (basics)

Where to find grant competitions. The structure of a typical project proposal: a correct problem diagnosis, objectives, measurable results (indicators) and a sound budget.

Building & keeping donor relationships

Managing a donor base. The importance of regular communication, gratitude and transparent reporting of progress and spending (donor retention).

Workshop: building a campaign plan

Hands-on work building a real fundraising plan for a chosen mission project. Presenting ideas and constructive group feedback.

Learning outcomes

Participants can identify suitable funding sources for specific activities. They can independently plan and run a simple crowdfunding campaign, draft a grant proposal and understand the principles of honest, transparent donor communication.
