01

Introduction to Product & Service Design

Understanding the differences and overlaps between product design and service design. The Double Diamond process and the designer's role in modern organizations.

Research & problem diagnosis

Stakeholder mapping and research techniques (in-depth interviews, observation) that help define the real design problem instead of relying on assumptions.

Customer Journey & Service Blueprint

Synthesizing research data. Creating Customer Journey Maps (CJM) and Service Blueprints to locate key areas for innovation and improvement.

Ideation & prioritization

Creative workshop techniques for generating solutions. Filtering and prioritizing ideas based on feasibility and desirability.

05

Prototyping solutions

Creating low-fidelity mockups for digital products and prototyping service processes based on the chosen concepts.

06

Evaluation & pitch

Testing prototypes, gathering feedback and preparing the final design pitch. Presenting the solutions to the group.

Learning outcomes

Participants can independently run a design process from problem diagnosis to a mockup/prototype. They are fluent with the key Service Design tools (CJM, Service Blueprint), can translate researched user needs into concrete business-solution concepts and validate them in a test environment.
